VOCAL COACHING
In 2018 Dominic was the singing coach at Stagecoach Performing Arts' Barnsley branch. He taught musical theatre singing to children aged 6-14 and later was the musical director of their production of Matilda. He also vocal coached Sheffield's Fusion Youth Theatre in their 2014 production of the musical Loserville and continues to work with London's The Kaos Organisation, whose choir for deaf and hearing children, Dominic was a member of as a child.
RECORDING
After receiving an A* in his music technology A Level, Dominic took recording modules at university, submitting the cast recording of his own show Character Limit in his final year. He frequently records at home, at first with Logic and more recently with Ableton Live which he used to record the backing tracks on Blowfish Theatre shows Trump! The Musical and Boris! The Musical 2: Brexit Harder as well as the incidental music for their play The True Historie Of Mr William Shakespeare.
SESSION VOCALS
In 2019, Dominic played the part of 'Gary' in the recording of composer Michael Grant's song-cycle It's Not Really The Apocalypse. He was prepared for the album's complex barbershop-style four-part vocal arrangements thanks to his experience in chamber choirs, barbershop groups and grade 8 classical singing.
ACTING
Dominic discovered musical theatre through the Sheffield University Performing Arts Society (SUPAS) when he was cast as 'Moritz' in their 2013 production of Spring Awakening. He loved the experience so much that he still acts when he can. He played 'Gladhand' in SUPAS's West Side Story the next year before joining Cardona Productions in R&D for their original musical Out of Place in which he multi-roled as various ensemble characters as well as later filling in as musical director. Though he primarily performs as MD for Blowfish Theatre, in Trump! The Musical, he also plays 'Sergei', Vladimir Putin's personal piano player, a role that involves playing and acting at the same time.
